The proposal includes the amalgamation of dwelling, covered by PA/09281/18, with existing pre-1967 basement level. This includes: removal of blocked opening at basement level; extension of approved lift shaft to basement level, excavation of lift pit; and partial alteration of existing staircase at basement level to allow for the extended lift shaft. The proposal also includes the conversion of the basement level into a garage space and an additional bathroom. This includes: alteration to façade on Triq il-Kardinal Fabrizio Sciberras to allow for a garage opening; and alteration to internal layout at basement level to allow for the garage use, including lowering part of the floor to allow for a ramp. The proposal also includes the restoration of the two basement façades, which shall be in addition to the restoration of facades of the rest of the property approved by PA/09281/18.
